That is a good read on your blog via Wolfgang's Observation Post, thank you.

As the title suggests, the :censored: TV/film industry doesn't help matters with the use of profanity issue.
Also, the :censored: lack of good parenting can encourage the profanity and behaviour our children end up displaying in their youth and adulthood.

I swear like a :censored: trooper and with the best of them (I won't pretend to be something I am not), but in front of the kids or clients, NO :censored: WAY!!!

My wife is trying to kill me....

She gets 5 weeks of paid vacation, not to mention holidays,and 3 day weekends every other week. Yep, and her goal is to redecorate, and upgrade whatever she can think of. (Which to me doesnt make sense since the whole house was done six years ago...) Dammit, I was supposed to be "retired" from this stuff!

Latest project was repainting the Kitchen, new hardware, and lighting, and still installing solid oak 6 panel doors throughout the house. PITA as every door has to be cut to fit in the old openings, "machined" for hinges and hardware, old jambs filled and drilled for new latches.

Used to be when her sister was alive I would send them to Vegas, Branson, whereever. Now it's just me and her. Not sure if I'm going to make it.

Well, the youngest daughter is off to college at Ann Arbor MI today. Shes all moved in and starts classes next week. God its quiet around the house..... :(

I thought this weekend was pretty good... UNTIL:

I got a $250 fine for leaving my trailer unattended
I scratched my truck on branches trying to and failing to back my trailer into my back yard in the alley. (I ended up removing part of the fence so that the turn was doable)
Then my kitchen flooded from clogged dishwasher.

So much for taking a weekend of relax time. IT was a costly, fail weekend!

Prepaid the Mortgage

So I prepaid my mortgage thru April 2011, sent in each individual payment with the slip. I used a seperate envelope with each payment and put on the check the date for which the payment was for.

All this because work slows in the grueling winters, did the same with my van payment.

So I get a letter today from the bank stating that they only let you pre-pay the mortgage for six months, anything more will be deducted from the principal. Thats two of my payments, roughly $2000.

Of course its Saturday, couldn't get thru to a human being. The automated teller said my next payment is due in March.

F**K THAT! If they couldn't use the money for what it was intended for, then they should have called me or sent the checks back. Not just put it towards my principal.

I'll have to go to the bank on Monday and see what I can do.

So....I'm painting an interior and some other company is painting the exterior of a neighbors house that backs up to this house.

I glance out to see how it's going on, and other than watching 5 painters talk more than work, one of them is wearing flip-flops. I kid you not! Painting a house in friggen' flippers :no: I just shake my head and go back to work.

This morning I'm in the paint store and 3 painters walk in. One of them has moccasins on. I think that's cool, some guys wear slippers or whatever to the job and then put on the work shoes at the job site. As I'm getting paint made up, I notice his slippers have paint all over them......many colors. They match his pants and shirt :icon_lol:

Maybe it's just me, but if some trade showed up at my house and someone was wear flippers or slippers, we'd talk :wallbash:

So I was out picking up some stuff today at the grocery store, guess what I saw? One of those free sample stands giving away "new" Keebler cookies. Being the cookie monster that I am I couldn't resist. Upon closer inspection of said "new" cookies....they were Girl Scout cookie knock offs!!!! Yes, that's right....thin mints, tagalons, and my favorite...the coconut carmel ones. I mean WTF? Things are that bad that they feel the need to copycat the friggin Girl Scouts? Is the elf so old and senile that he can't come up with a cookie on his own? Has the housing market devalued your tree so badly that you resort to thievery?

Mr. Elf....I say Boooooooooo to you. I will never enjoy your treats again, until you stop production on the stolen cookies. If you choose to continue, I hope your tree gets infested with termites, burns to the ground, or gets chopped up and made into a piss post at the dog park.
