I've been here long enough to see lots of members come and go. Personally, I don't think there is any single reason for it; some get bored, some find the time for participating takes too much away from other things, and yes, others leave because of things that were said or because of perceived slights. I say percieved because it's pretty unrealistic to participate in a place like this, with this type of memership base, and expect everything to always be sweetness and light. And although no one should accept abuse or personal attacks, they should be prepared to have others disagree with them and even chide them for things they may post. As a result, if they don't possess an epidermis with a certain degree of ruggedness they won't be lasting very long.

Could be......just maybe.....he has a life outside of the interweb? Or maybe he is busy and making too much bank to waste time here? Lots of reasons. I don't think it has anything to do with him not being able to cope with most of what goes on here. But when some weirdo takes the BS off of the forum and goes to E-mails and phone calls to YOUR MOTHER! That's just taking things a little bit too far. (remember he who shall remain un-named?)

I completely agree with the need to have a thicker skin on an interweb forum. However, if anyone on here is sending other members nasty emails, they will be viewing the forum from the outside pretty quick.

But if people don't want to, or feel the need to provide this information to the mod squad there's not much we can do about it.

I understand that this is a forum for pro painters, but why people put their business email addy on here is beyond me.

I always suspected Jack left because everyone didn't buy into his systems approach 100% and that pissed him off.

Cdpainting, thanks for your input through the years. You are one of our Festool guys, you know, the no nonsense, get it done professionally type, and that is awesome. I don't know why anyone would be harassing you. They need to grow up it looks like.
I hope you come back around when the situation cools down.

That is a shame.Don't let some internet Rambo troll ruin what you enjoy doing. You can always come back with a different user name and inbox some of the other painters you like so they know its you and take your company website and info off your post.
