Default Interview The Person Below You!

I saw this one a Guitar forum and since it's not too lively 'round here lately thought I'd give it a shot.

Post a general question, then the next poster answers it and posts anouther question and so on.
The questions can be anything from trivial to serious to obscure, but must remain within the forum guidelines.

For example you can ask anything you want:

-What's you best/worst memory of high school and why?
-If you knew today was your last day on Earth how would you spend it?
-What's the most rewarding experience you've ever had?

So to the person below me:

Business or personal, what do you most want to accomplish in 2017?

Ok, I'll give it a whirl.

My goal for 2017 is to make it to 2018. At this age my goals are not as lofty as they used to be.

Question: Do ya ever wonder why "cycle" is pronounced differently in bicycle than it is in motorcycle?

Depends on where you are from, they are pronounced the same a little south of me in the hills of WV

As to the original post, you want to make us actually THINK?

Early in the thread and we've already deviated from the "answer and ask another question" format that Ryan proscribed. LOL

What profession other than painting would you have been interested in?

In retrospect, I'd have to say electrical. Plumbers and electricians are the premium paid trades around here and I'd rather do electrical than plumbing.

Now if you had to pick a profession outside the building/trades industry, what would it be?

Accounting. I love math, and following rules/guidelines.

What is the one thing you've always wanted to do but was to afraid to?

A '72 Toyota corona with no reverse and no gas tank, had a marine outboard gas tank sitting on the passenger side floor board which had to be squeeze pumped to get it started.

What is your favorite car you've ever had?

What part of the life of a painter do you detest the most?

Dealing with "wannabe" carpenters.

If ignorance is bliss, why aren't more people happy?

A person can still be affected by something they are ignorant too. It only means they don't understand why they are affected in a negative way.

What hobby or past time did you use to have that you would like to pick up again?

^ I never had a hobby because I have never been passionate about one particular thing.

Has the internet, or personal devices, made your life any easier other than available for a phone call?

No, and I can argue it's made life more difficult and complicated.

Pickle or no pickle on a burger?

For the love of God man, of course pickle.

Ketchup flavoured chips? Oui, ou non? (trick question here.)

Playing guitar/piano.
I got a good musical education at an early age by learning piano and trombone. In my early 20's I decided to pick up the guitar. In retrospect, I think I did it mostly to attract girls. I spent a couple years hard at it, practicing hours and hours every day, and finally got pretty good. Joined a band and indeed it did help with the ladies. When I finally met the right one and got married, I started loosing interest in it.

I still have one sitting around the house that I pick up on occasion. It's just not as interesting as it used to be for some reason.

Question, if the technology became available to have a microchip installed in your brain allowing direct connection to the net and augmenting your brain power, would you do it? Why or why not?
