Guess I'll be spending a lot more time playing War Thunder during my slow times! This place is getting waaaay too violent for me.

If a mapmaker wants to write the phrase, "topograhical error?", will his spellchecker let him?

Uh, never mind.

BTW, I saw that you never posted an intro of yourself over in the introductions sub-forum. Although not required, I would invite you to do so. it's always kind of nice to know a little bit about our "new" members.

And welcome to the group!

With all the road construction, he could use the porta-potties.
Which by the way don't have transparent glass.
But of course I've never changed clothes in a portable, he might want to break into a car or something.

I wonder how words in printed format will look in 10 or 20 years....apparently, they no longer teach spelling in school, kids are not allowed to write in cursive either. Italics are out as well. So there is a heavy dependency on spell check. So how is a kid supposed to use a dictionary? Or look up a word if they can't figure out the first couple of letters or ?? Kid: "sirkes". (Actually spelled
C-I-R-C-U-S). through, or threw? Bear or bare? Lol, FYI, smh, will these be the new norms in literature? How are kids supposed to be able to use an owners manual? This is rediculious! Hard earned taxes to pay for education for a generation that can't spell? Where is literacy going to be for a generation that will make very important decisions for our old a55es down the road...? Will it be more like it was centuries ago (and still is in un or undeveloped cultures and countries) where people just take "their" word for it ? Some religions (no, I'm not debating religion...just using it as a reference point) preyed upon illiteracy and government always does....kind of scary when I think about it....

As a very famous person once quipped (millions of YouTube hits makes one famous), "Friday, Friday--gotta get down on Friday. Partyin' partyin'--yeah..."

I forget the rest.

Thank you for reminding me of that. As punishment for that, I'll post the video of one of the worst songs ever produced in the history of music. Hope this doesn't ruin your weekend folks.

Admittedly, I had never seen that whole video (or heard the whole song). It was straight up hideous, BUT props to the young lady for putting the project together. "Tomorrow is Saturday. Sunday is afterwards". Deep, thought provoking lyrics for sure.

If you want to see something worse punch up the "cash you osside" girl video. My daughter showed me a Dr. Phil clip about her. A 13 year girl who you wish you could reach into the tv and spank. Any way the next day a video pops up on facebook of her and makes the Friday song sound great. I know you say you won't look it it up but i know you will.
