I think you jumped the gun just a little. That lower pair still has some life.

Obviously someone is rolling in the dough to replace a fine pair of gently used shoes well before their time.

You can always tell the painters that don't spray by their work shoes.

I have another pair, the ones before those in the pic, that I use just for spray work. And trust me, they show it.

Check out brooks running shoes, pricey if not on sale but well worth it.

Ive developed quite the sneaker habit myself. Been going thru a bunch trying to find the right pair. Liking the low cut with fabric mesh on top, like wearing no sneaks at all.

Never had a problem with a pair of NB. Comfortable and they seem to last forever (well, almost). I think this must be about my tenth pair or so going back a long, long time. Had some non-work Sketchers with the mesh top which tore out in about six months. Very disappointed and not what I expected from that brand.

I hate the mesh tops because I tend to paint my socks a weird dot like pattern when I spill on them. Plus, black shoes are easier to spray paint black again over all the spilled paint. I have to keep my shoes looking halfway clean. In fact I don't use duct tape, I use shoe goo.
