I've been on-again/off-again reading this forum and finally took the plunge to register.
My name is Richard. I'm a 2nd generation painter. This year the straw broke and I had enough of working along side my father and brother in the family business. As the youngest my opinions and ideas we constantly rejected, as well as the feeling of "working under them" instead of "side by side".
The beginning of the year saw me open my own business up: Enrich Painting & Wallpaper Specialists.
Work is going well, slowly picking up new clients from friends and word-of-mouth.
Starting a new business has been extremely difficult as there has been so many things my father used to have to deal with that only now as the "boss" I'm experiencing. (ie. Chasing clients who don't pay... Deadlines by the end of the week and my worker calls in sick)
I really hope to get some help from you all; and I hope that in turn I can contribute back where I can.
