If you blog, surf the site. (In fact I will be blogging about it.)

If we can flush out 100 good active solid content blogs related to the paint industry, I will be psyched to see that.

Someone (RCP) needs to start a community blog that all active bloggers can contribute to. An online resource for reviews, sharing techniques, etc. And please, dont anyone here on the pt staff mention that we are going to soon get what ct has.

I would love to do an article site with several people contributing and donating money to hire a ninja SEO guy.

It could be a back link gold mine.

Ken started one but couldn't get it off the ground.

Well, this didn't take long to go off on a tangent!
Google "house painting blogs" "housepainter blogs" " professional painter blogs"
I see lots of impersonal, generic, keyword stuffed blogs saying the same thing,
"How to hire a contractor" "how to choose a color" all targeted to the HO, I like seeing more blogs on products, like BB's brush one, targeted to other paint professionals. Jack Pauhl is a good example, he came up #1 in one search. Scott is another example. I think it is a good thing!

Jacks blog is really good, even if he likes behr.

Chris, that is what I was getting at the other day. It just looks so infomercially seeing that crap on site after site, and no original content. And no offense to you footbridgers but those articles are fluff. But I do understand that these examples arent about the industry, they are about sales.

It would be cool to see more content about professional painting. Theres no short term instant gratification, but there is a big picture component. Anyone who ever feels like they wish paint contracting was respected more...

Link?

I like blogging, and at one time wanted to be a writer. I just have to make time to do it, and keep it fun. If it seems like work it will be the last thing I want to do when I am not working.

That said, TIC has been around for a LONG time and has taken some years to get to the form its in now. But still...

LOL, I had to look away. I have been a long time subscriber to Fine Home Building, and this is right there with them as far as content quality.

For sure, in fact, I think it is held in higher esteem because it is by contractors and not bound by publishers. They ARE the publishers. Its good stuff.
