We did and some how got locked into a 2 year contract. So far after a year and couple month's it has done absolutely nothing for us. We are all set with these types of sites. They do nothing but cost us money. Word of mouth is still the best way.

Thank you Cricket! The article you linked had a great reference that lead to your question. That is the advise I was thanking you for. Although I have a Houzz account I haven't signed up for their paid advertising. Since I work solo the cost of Houzz advertising is too high for me to afford.

If you spend the time to fill out your company info and upload some high quality photos of your work you've done quite a bit to maximize the platform without having to pay Houzz.

Not talking about the site you mentioned, but advertising sites, in general, have everything to gain by exaggerating their traffic and there are no laws against doing so.
