Hi Ken,
Have been reading allot of your posts on different topics. Really great info.
I have a few questions about washing exterior.
I am looking to clean exterior homes, siding and what not. Either it just needs to be cleaned (looks dirty and a little growth) or cleaning before a paint job.
My initial understanding is the stronger the pressure washer the faster more efficient the job is. Was thinking of getting a 4200 psi 3.5gpm Dewalt.
Then I saw some stuff on down streaming and low pressure washing with chems like bleech and soap.
So my question is, if I just want to do low pressure washing with chems do I really need a really powerfull pressure washer if Im just downstreaming, applying detergent and rinsing? How strong a pressure washer do you really need? If I'm only dealing with 1 and 2 story homes.
My other questions is the chemical process.
Heavy cleaning needs bleech, soap, rinse?
Light cleaning just soap?
Cheers
Mike
