At this time, I'd like to nominate Workaholic for "Worst hijack attempt of 2012" for post #21.
Throwing in a random Philly quote from another thread?

Come on, Work...if you're going to be a thread hijacker, at least put in the time and learn how to do it correctly.

Yep - the attempt of a rank amatuer. We three should know, we've stood together on the podium enough times.

I'm going to do something totally out of character now...

So Steve, besides the bee sting how else did the trip go? Were you out there to do any fishing or was this just a hang out and BS kind of trip (not that the two are mutually exclusive of each other)?

Last time we went camping was up in the foothills of the Cascades. Usually we are on the other side, in high lakes country, but this trip was on the western slopes. The last day we are breaking camp and about half a dozen scorpions scuttle out from under the tents. It was weird. Lived here all my life and have never seen the little critters on this side of the mountains - or on the other side for that matter. Nobody got stung though - just kinda creeped out.

well I just succumbed. I put the large AC in the living room window and a small one in my office window.

Seems the other day I knelt once too many times and my knee blew up like someone surgically inserted a squash ball over the knee cap.

So it's ice, rest, and drugs (and causing trouble on PT). Thought I might as well be cool if I could.

So once again it's you, pain killers, and lots of time on your hands. Seems like it was only yesterday...

(Gabe, it might be a good time to take your vacation. )

Sorry to hear about the knee Bill. I'm dealing with a right shoulder issue right now (praying it's not a rotator cuff). Always lots of fun when doing ceilings.

Gotta love when the body ages faster than the brain.

but to hell with the knee for now, I got lots of work coming up. I just gotta figure how NOT to kneel.

Has anyone bought or made a handy dandy rolling stool to like cut in baseboards ? I have to cut in the wall prepcoat against the base AND trim the paper to the base.

LOL...well I'll try my best at this . I once had a dog like that in Bill's pic called Dentee and I had a slack stretch here on PEI for the last week or so and played 9 rounds of golf over 8 days and my dang elbow is sore as heck . I was going to discuss flag pole painting...but I'm sure there is a better thread for that somewhere on here LOL . Hope everyone is having a good Summer !

No, it's the other one. The ribs and that shoulder are fine now. This Just suddenly flared up on me and has been hurting like hell for about two weeks. Been hoping anti-inflammatories would help but nothing yet. Another week and I may have to have it checked out.

After double knee sugery this year I try everything to not get on my knees.

I use a mechanics stool for taping and painting base. Works well for me.

I see they have them at Harbor Freight for like $20. They are the round ones with a padded seat.

Put in some twelve hour days this past week - lots of ceilings plus moving a bunch of heavy doors for spraying. I'm sure none of that helped.

It's supposed to be hot (95+) here today so I'm gonna take it easy and watch the Olympics. Track and field events are finally starting.
