The Cars (group)

The Cars...loved that group in the 70's and 80's.
New Album...

Here's a tune...sound familiar?

Here's another...seems like it was plucked right out of the old days ;)

I've been listening to the first one on the radio here and had no idea it was the Cars. Thanks Harry!

Damn Harry....you're younger than I thought. LOL One of my favorite groups. Actually got to meet them and talk with them after a concert here. Sadly Benjamin Orr, bass player and vocals, has passed away.

Definitely sounds like the Cars. Hadn't heard that one, but it has their "sound"

Harry, did you ever listen to The Rings? Another Boston group the had a "Cars" sound, but I liked them a little more. 'BCN played them a lot back in the 80's.

(can't find them on youtube)

UPDATE:

OOOOOPS, just found one

Sure I remember! That was a popular tune.
If you want to hear similar artists, go to http://www.pandora.com/ and create your stations. For instance, if you create a station for the cars, they'll play The Talking Heads, The Outfield, The Police, Pete Townshend, etc.

I liked BCN and COZ Peter Wolf from J. Geils was on BCN years ago but we all remember the Big Mattress with Charles Laquidara.

Yes Harry, I do enjoy Pandora. Although, once my ears were bludgeoned by a segue of my programming. I had entered stuff like Johnny Winter Radio, Texas Blues, Rock n Roll/Roots, Doo Wop, Classic Pop, Classic Rock n Roll, etc and boy did my ears scream when it went from Derringer & Edgar's "Rock'n Roll Hoochie Koo" to Ricky Nelson's "I'm a Traveling Man".

OWWWWCH !
