Default confessions of a couch potato

OK, we're REALLY hooked this year on American Idol. I know, I know. Say all you want, we are guilty. But some of them are absolutely freaking awesome. This James Durbin is ready to go on tour with the Bad Boys of Boston, he and Steven Tyler are kindred crazies.

I keep saying to the Wenderful that the music producers they have working with the kids have allowed them to grow within their own skins and have nurtured the best crop of all ten years. Seriously, these kids are good, REAL good.

But there is one girl from NY whose last name rings a bell, Pia Toscano. Hmmmmm, I wonder if she has a PT connection ?

I keep telling my wife that she is my second wife from NY. She's not buying it.

Got into it last year. The winner worked at one of the paint stores in the area and I just had to root for the local guy. Was at a Benjamin Moore Arborcoat seminar towards the end of the season last year. It ended early because all the reps wanted to get home to see if he made the cut.....

oooooo, she's cruel. Tell the Mrs that Pia is your love child, see if THAT gets a rise.

We did NOT watch last year, and very little the year before. I was just sick and tired with Simon Cowbells.

But I do love Steven Tyler. Was NEVER an Aerosmith fan (never liked Boston either), but he is just the balz on Idol. BTW, Steven will be sixty-phucking-three in two days. He's older than I am. Gotta love that staying power.

63. The wife comments all the time about the age of celebrities and how they look old....I gently remind her we are old. The wife will be 60 this year, (older than me), but everybody says she looks 10-12 years younger....good genes I guess, or I just know how to pick them. LOL

Now Keith Richards.....he looks way past "old". They'll probably be parking the tour busses in the handicapped zones on their next tour.

Did you know Keith was actually 54? He only looks old because he got blood transfusions from OLD people. <ROFLMAO>

No no, Keith will be 68 in Dec. (Mick will be 68 in July). Charlie is the oldest stone and will be 70 in June.

Keith has ingested more alcohol, drugs, and nicotine than all of France. I think he's looks pretty good ...... for a corpse.

Whats up with my man Casey Abrams? I suppose everyone thought he would be safe no matter what. Glad they saved him.

LOL I see Tim's up to speed on the show. Now we know what he was doing during his self-imposed exile.

Casey sucks! That’s why he was voted off. The judges are stoopid to have wasted their ONE save on someone who couldn’t even make the top ten. The “save” should be for someone who actually has a chance of winning it all.

Dude!?!?! Open your hears. Casey is good. Actually, there are a bunch of good ones this year. Bet more than a handful will make a name for themselves this year.

Tim,

I agree, but Casey was not worth the only save. James and Jacob would have been.

However, I am going to defer to their call. I trust them to see a potentional that has not been demontrated.

He has a musical talent that has not yet been displyed in this smackdown. The judges need to take him aside and get him on track. He's not a finalist, but certainly is better than others - like Paul
