I hit the gym after work. I'm 50 and it keeps me feeling better than if I didn't exercise. I also try to eat a low fat hi fiber diet, try is the word here. Oh and drink lotsa water. I try to strengthen my back and stomach to reduce in jury's on the job.

I also ride a bicycle to work pretty much every day. Not for health reasons, free parking is too far a hike. So I park out in the hood and switch off to the bike. A good couple miles probably. I count it as exercise. What the heck. I do it.

I like the tone of this thread and I think it's good to be reminded to keep active as possible, or reasonable. My main hobby aside (from work) is cycling. I have been riding mountain bikes for 16 years now, and got into road riding about 2 years ago. Then last year I got into cyclocross and racing, riding 6 races in the cat4 age 35+ group. It was an awesome fall season of riding and training.
I haven't gone cyclocross racing this season yet due to other priorities, but definitely will be going again.
If anyone has the chance go try it.

Way too much commitment for me ridesarize! But some of the best times I had was mountain biking in several adventure races with my brother in law. These days, just getting on my commute bike is a chore. But thanks to you, there'll be one less vehicle on the road this morning. I'm off!

Good job man, that's a good thing. Riding is just as important for your spirit as it is for the heart and lungs.. great to ride with a smile too.

My van broke down this summer and I ended up riding to work carrying my work bag and lunch etc. 25 miles one way for 2 weeks. That got me feeling pretty darn good and looking lean.
