Their voices were naturally course. She is forcing it. I've had enough voice training to know the difference. You can tell when you listen to her talk. Rod and Joe talked like they had 60 grit sandpaper lining their vocal chords.

This here's high culture in your neck of the woods ain't it?

actually reminds me of a couple sunday nights on my great uncles back porch when i was a kid. My grandmother and aunt were taught to play the banjo by June Carter Cash. They were pretty serious about it at one point.

I once saw Joan Jett as part of a package show. It was her, Foreigner, The Kinks, Huey Lewis, and Lover Boy. I went mainly to see The Kinks, and was really shocked how good Lover Boy was in concert. I really hated them at the time, but seeing them in concert changed my opinion. They put on a great show. All of the bands at that show, with the exception of Foreigner, were good. Foreigner was terrible.

You bet. You can tell it's high culture due to the fact all the band members put their teeth in for the video shoot!

One of the many things I like about Joan Jett is that she has vowed to share her water, post apocalypse. A very nice thing to do, indeed.

since we're so off topic- you guitar players out there. Notice the chords the great Joan Jett is playing. A 6 year old could do that. Lita on the other hand has some talent.

But hey, Drew Barrymore loved them so who am i to argue? And the lead singer? She's good, but she's going to blow her voice out before she's 20.

I really don't see them being particularly big. (oh, i was a music theory major at one point. No money in it so i quit.)
Look at every music video you can tell they are not live. As for the 2 young kids I'll try to find the video of just them jamming, you will think differently. Their dad runs the sound and show, not sure who does their videos but yeah some are not good. My guess is it was a fan who recorded some of their jams. When I was driving bands on tour I saw so many fans recording the show and posting it online. Also look at the ages 10 years old to 19. Plenty of time left for them to perfect their playing. On another note I know bands who have been jamming for 20 years who can't hold a candle to these kids.

I have to disagree about her voice. She will not blow it out.

yeah if they keep practicing. That's the key. And some constructive criticism. They need help beyond the people they have working "behind the scenes"now though. I know they're a family outfit but...to go far they'll need to hire some people with some good experience. The problem will be getting that to happen. But i guess if they're happy and they make their fans happy then what the hell. Rock on.

Their dad is pretty connected. He writes and produces music for commercials and tv shows/movies. I'm sure he has the people in mind he want on their team. A good friend of mine was the Sound Engineer for Fall Out Boy who is no longer touring so my friend is going to jump on with Liliac for a few shows. He is trying to talk me into driving again.

These kids are doing an East Coast tour this summer . Seems like they continue to grow in popularity. Coming to within 40 miles of my town....I'm in! If interested, check out their FB page.

why do they keep the lead singers face blurry in their videos? She's not the best looking girl in the world but she isn't hideous either. Don't get it.
