Default FAX? so 1990's, but in case you need to send

Dealing with some businesses requires the ability to fax.
Me? Personally I am stunned that they are so behind the technological eight ball.

Today I had to request, BY FAX, one healthcare provider to FAX some records to another healthcare provider.

I do not have a fax machine.
I do not have a working computer with a FAX/modem
I wasn't going to dig out an old computer with one and load win98 w/ winfax

Quick search found Got Free Fax

Just some helpful info if you ever need to fax.

Their terms of service for a free fax appear reasonable.

I've been using http://www.myfax.com/free/ You can send 2 free fax's per 24 hours.

I think I average about 2 a year.

I used MyFax many years ago, when it was ALL free, even an incoming 800 fax number. But with the amount I need to send and receive (I've sent three in the past year, received none), it's not worth it.

Back in the day when we all had dial-up and computers had FAX/modems, one computer came with a really nifty program - FaxWorks. It could also be an answering machine. But as we know, FAX is a little outdated these days. Along with pagers.

Please help me to set up a free fax service. I'm new to fax and I didn't use it before.

The link LA painter shared is still good. Check it out. Really though using fax is kind of like wanting to use a pay phone or 8 track player.

I have my fax number synced to my beeper....that way I know when a fax is coming thru when not near my machine. Keeping on the cutting edge of technology pays big dividends in the business world......

This Covid thing is bringing some old members back. Did ya hear that Steve Richards popped in a few weeks ago? He asked about you.

Hope you’re doing well, Chrisn.
