3 regularly, 2 others occasionally. The one forum I frequent just to laugh at all the bickering. PT is def my favorite.

This is pretty much it for me also. I lurk at CT and RC, but I just love all of you here too much to leave!

I've trimmed down from several to two, maybe three, sometimes four.

I have grown more fonder of the smaller communities where people establish their personalities. I think it breeds better communication and respect.

Well said Bill. The size, and mix of personalities here is a good "fit" for me also.

OK, to add to Gabe's OP, what other TYPES of forums do you people visit/participate on?

I tried a vintage audio forum when I was looking for some classic stuff. I lasted maybe three months. Just couldn't fit in.

For many years I participated on a few RC airplane forums/list-serves. Oh boy, the fur flew on those for years on end. I had a guy (actually three of them) threaten my well being.

I've done gardening and swimming pool forums. And I really would like to get involved in Instructables.com. Looks fab.

Mine are all construction related, I have been active in other business and political forums. Those tend to get over saturated, hard to keep up. I have also played in a RC forum. But I always bounce back to PT, sorry your all stuck with me.

This is my main fix as well. I also mod over at RC, and check in at CT and PPS and have visited many others, but I find every other one is not as "comfortable" as here. There are others I visit only when I need something, a dobe forum for advice, even a joined a hysterectomy forum for a short bit! But you really don't get as much out of it unless you are involved. It makes it a bit more fun for me because Rob lurks here and we chat about the topics, and he asks "what is wisepainter up to now" when I am hollering at my laptop!

Just here. I belong to a few others, but rarely visit. I used to go to a few ATV forums, but no longer have time and have pretty much lost intrest in the quad thing.

I read 7 pages...

--------

In summer I usually hang more at a boat forum, but not as much this year.

I haven't found another forum where someone would post a link to a Chicken in the Backyard forum....and so I hang around.

I thought getting 10k posts on a painting forum was obsessive, but 11k posts on a chicken forum!

Lol, thanks for the laugh this morning Bender. What happened to that big goofy red bird man, I kinda miss seeing him.

Other forums I check out are for woodworking, roof cleaning and boat restoration.
