To 750.

While he was busy painting, I was busy posting (mostly off topic.)

Arch, look at our stats. Isn't it a farce that a newb like me has over 500 more rewards points than you, the legend.

Yeah, no doubt. Like you, Oden, I've admired bryce's contributions here for quite awhile now.

I would've thought they'd have given him honorary BZ status long ago, from this thread alone:

A spendthrift is he? Looks like those points burned a hole clear through his pockets.

Nah. I just buy a lot from Amazon and those points have helped with my meager retirement cash flow. And I was lucky that I won some in a contest and another kindly PT'er gave me some. For the moment every penny helps, hopefully when the WW and my benefits start and our financial house is in order, we can start BEING spendthrifts, but until that day, it's Alpo and white rice once a day, whiling away my hours with free entertainment on the net

Once a week do like I do, and mix in a touch of Alpo into the rice water as it cooks.

"Look Honey, I've splurged. We have brown rice tonight for dinner!"

GREAT idea. Two birds with one stone - - my grandmother did that with her diarrhetic dogs.

I don't have a smart phone. So, the only time I can read or participate on PT, is when I'm at my desk at work, or at home in my Lazy Boy. Like I am now.

I think why some people don't post much any longer, is because so much of painting has already been discussed. So unless you like the banter and spending time reading another painter's online journal and business report, there's not much in the way of news. That's why I like to participate in the PZ and the off topics! Because they really get the juices flowing. But unfortunately, it can also hurt people's sensibilities.

My favorite "serious" stuff about PT, is the actual paint talk. And having those discussions with Drake, Pman, Gough, Jmays, and numerous others, has been very informative.

Naaah just a past time to me. I don't, never did, read. Like a book or anything. PT is a interactive novel to me maybe.

I've tried using the forum on my phone with Tapatalk, didn't like it. I realize that lots don't like tapatalk, but then I realized I just don't like using any forums on my phone.

Only time I PT is when I'm not working anyways, I have no idea how guys do it when they're working. Must be nice.

I get quite a bit of info out of the business side of things, but have trouble applying/translating it to my relatively much smaller scale situation and location.

The painting side of things.. I do learn things sometimes, but as others said lots of it has been talked about over and over. I have to guess some people haven't been in those discussions so it's fresh to them. There's always different ways to do things as well, so that makes things interesting.

Where I'm at now, I literally know zero other painters so sharing stories is nice. My wife really has little interest in hearing my painting woes/successes. She's heard 'em all before.

Yep, a flip phone my employer gave me.

But I'm actually glad that I don't have a smart phone. I'm afraid it would be too distracting. And for the sake of PT and her members, it's probably better that my participation is limited. After all, I really don't have much to contribute in terms of business, and I really don't want to interject my opinion in every thread just for the sake of participation. It wouldn't be conducive to my Online Friendship Building campaign I've currently kicked off.

BTW, what can I buy with six grand worth of PT reward points?

I have posted on here maybe 3 times during the work day. I hate the internet during work hours. No time to Facebook or be on here. I go days some times without posting but do read posts.
