Hemingway lived in Idaho around that period...I have a feeling he may have been somehow been involved. After all, they did have $45.00 worth of booze...Hem would have been interested.

I just saw on the news where inmates in an Alabama jail are no longer getting vegetables because they have been turning them into alcohol. No veggies of any kind. They had already lost fruit privileges for similar infractions in the past.

Fertilized and watered the flowers, scooped up the dog poop, mowed the front and back yards, washed and waxed one of our vehicles, and used the leaf blower to clean off the sidewalks and driveway... holiday my ass.

Alabama's pretty hard on the free residents too.

Alabama, you got
The weight on your shoulders
That's breaking your back
Your Cadillac
Has got a wheel in the ditch
And a wheel on the track

And one more thought. I think from now on PACman needs to submit his avatar pics to a review board. He's been putting some weird chit up lately.

Are you pushing my buttons? Because you really shouldn't be pushing my buttons. I can do much worse (better?) if you so desire. I could bring back the nipple pincher if you want.

PAC: Change your avatar today. You know that's crossing the line and why the hell you thought you'd get by with it, we have no idea. Think Bill sent you a PM regarding this.

I was just reading an article about the Consumer Reports paint tests and something hit me. They claim they test hundreds of paints every year, but why do we never see those tests or paints mentioned in their magazine? Do you suppose they only mention the brands that Behr was better than? Doesn't that seem kind of..BS? It's pretty obvious what they are doing. They are basically ghosting any paint that beats behr or whoever is their favored paint that particular year!

Yeah. I am on vacation in Savannah. Staying in an Airbandb. Really nice place, but you can tell that the HO painted it themselves, and I suspected that they painted themselves. I suspected Behr...the trim still has a tacky feel to it which seems to be a tell of Behr paint. And, low and behold I saw a bunch of 5 gallon Behr paint in storage. They paint just has a low quality feel to it.

That's because the focus groups CR uses to determine what consumers perceive is a quality paint say "coverage" (whatever they mean by that anyway) is the most important thing a "quality" paint should do. The 300+ testing requirements the MPI has are considered irrelevant to them. The CR focus groups that is. Things like complete cure, hardness, and block resistance mean noting to the average consumer. And that is what is leading to the demise of paint quality. Manufacturers find it easier to give the consumers what the consumers believe they want instead of educating the consumers as to what they really need. It's getting worse and worse. If enough people say they want mud on their walls, then mud for their walls is what they will get.

If you really want to have some fun, find an "edge" somewhere on the wall paint and peel it off! I guarantee that if it is behr you can get it to peel right off somewhere with a little effort.
