A lot of great comedy is like that. Times change and so do we, causing the material to no longer be relevant. I still quote Monty Python skits often but watch all the shows again...Nah, don't think so. Same for Fawlty Towers.

I do still get a chuckle when I think of Cleese's line about the Spanish concierge guy. "He's from Barcelona."......."Ah, I see." That character was pretty hilarious.

I always hated Brit TV seasons were so short...6 episodes are average. They don't leave a very large legacy. Monty Python ended up with 45 episodes for the 4 years, more per season than most series.

Oh man! The gen Ex'ers aren't as bad as the Y's or millennials. I actually believe the Ex'ers are the last generation with a great sense of humor. Today's thirty somethings act like their sh!t doesn't stink and the millennials look at anyone over fifty like a malignancy plaguing the Earth. Just an observation based on Gretta Toombergs comments.

I was excited to receive an email from Graco the other day that a package was on the way.I didn't recall ordering anything. Perhaps some sort of nice comp gift. Hat, jacket, hoodie perhaps. My curiosity was piqued. Well, the package came yesterday. And it was indeed from Graco. It was a car seat my daughter had ordered and sent to our house for use when my grandson is here!

Wrong Graco....

I think it was the day after I posted the comments about the millennial attitudes towards boomers, that I saw a TV news topic on something called "OK Boomer". It basically validated my observations.

Man- that book that they made "The Irishman" from- "I Heard You Paint Houses" doesn't have a danged thing to do with painting houses! It's really kinda violent.

I watched that whole three hour long movie even though I didn't think I'd get past the first twenty minutes.

It seemed too convoluted since I already saw Good Fellas and the movie Hoffa, but Dinero, Peschi, and Pachino can act! So I stuck with it. "The Irishman" wasn't great, but it was definitely entertaining.

I haven't seen it yet, but I went ahead and watched a few Youtubes about it. They weren't really spoilers and all the videos praised the film highly, but the expert consensus is...it's not the true story. The guy- Frank Sheeran- was a bit of a storyteller. He was certainly around and close to Hoffa, but not the killer he claimed to be. And according to cops and the noted ex-gangster, Michael Franzese, not Hoffa's killer.

But, I'll still watch because, I don't expect movies to get everything right and ALL have freakin' raved about the performances.
