Default Snow #'s

Here in NE North Carolina we have received over 5 inches of snow so far.
May not seem like a lot to some of you but it will paralize the local area since we do not have the equipment to handle this much snow.
I must say it is very beautiful, it looks like a winter wonderland!
What's in your back yard?

It started here this morning, went to the store to get a couple of things for dinner(shrimp scampi) and it was crazy. We are supposed to get 8-12 inches.

mud!

We have had over 11" of rain in the past week, our yearly rain average is 8"! Usually we are covered in snow by now!

No, but a few of our neighbors had their basements flooded. Looks like the worse has passed. Thanks

Check out the icicles on my neighbours un-insulated house. (they had the upstairs gutted and rewired this summer and didn't get the insulation finished)

Snow and cold....same same mid-Canada December weather.

Yep. The wife was supposed to fly home from New York today. I guess most flights out of LaGuardia are canceled. Guess I can keep the dancing girls a little longer.......

Thats a lot of iciciles! I'd be worried about ice damming on that roof. Might get a job out it if it dose........

Same boat as you, we got about 4-5 inches of snow, woke up to a white Christmas, first one since 93 is what they are saying. We don't get much snow here and when it does snow it either melts quickly or simply does not accumulate.

It was 83 on Thursday....It dropped to the 40s for the weekend but back in the 70s this upcoming week....

Doesn't make it feel very "Christmas-like" around here.

I have 2 exteriors including a metal roof that we are starting tomorrow(maybe).
We are looking at a hard freeze tonight & tomorrow night so I may have to cancel these until Tuesday.
