Yeah, Panthers will likely win it but I'll be rooting for Denver - or more specifically, Manning and his last hurrah.

Not me. Never watched a super bowl in the 50 years of them. Never watched a football game for that matter.

Is that because you're a Hockey fan instead, or are you just not interested in sports?

I'm really not interested at all in this year's Super Bowl. And, it's unfolding in my back yard! Part of the reasons for my disinterest, is that the Niner stadium (Levi ) is in Santa Clara, which is nearly fifty miles from San Francisco. Yet, Sf is making all this hoopla with their so called "Super Bowl City". It's kind of pathetic in my opinion.

But to SF's credit, they tried to offer the York's(Niner owner) precious land near the downtown area that would have been a boon to the City, as it has for the SF Giants. But the Yorks balked because they're not even native to the area. No loyalty. As far as I'm concerned, San Jose CA. should be hosting this event.

I'll be rooting for Denver. I like the underdog.

Sports just don't hold my interest, never have. Even sports I participate in,climbing, skiing, I don't follow. Last year when the two guys climbed the Dawn Wall on El Cap in Yosemite didn't get to much of my attention.

I tend to be the same way. I liked participating in sports like tackle football, softball, and even martial arts, but I just don't have the sustained interest to invest in tickets, TV, or T-Shirts, to consider myself a true sports fan.

Sports seemed to be the main subject on job sites. Everyone would read the "green" section of the local paper in the morning with their coffee, then have sports trivia and fact debates through out the day. Some guys were like encyclopedias with their knowledge! I just gave up and payed attention only when it meant a football party to go to because the Niners were in a playoff game or something.

On job sites if the local team won it made Mon. morning a lot less grumpy. When I lived in Az. nobody cared about the cardinals, except maybe Phoenix and even there maybe not so much, more people cared about U of A sports than a lot of pro stuff.

How about living in an area where a bridge separates two major football teams by fifteen minutes. It sucks when the boss roots for the one you don't. Yep, I know about Monday mornings.

I used to love watching hockey. I was a football watcher.

Then I put this ring on my finger...

Now, I no longer even knew who was in the Superbowl until I read this thread. All I knew about hockey was that there was very little chance a Canadian hockey team was even going to make the playoffs, and I'm not even sure if that's just a rumour.

***I sad.***
