When gas got up to the $4-5 gal, I recall SW having seven price increases that year. (Which cost me time to get new pricing, renegotiate my pricing on both the front end and back end. Time is money.) During that time, not one box store paint had a price increase. Even Dutch Boy, owned by SW, didn't have one. Didn't have to negotiate pricing, didn't take a dime out of my bank as each insurance job had a job # and the paint was charged to it. I gave up on being a "paint snob" a long time ago.
