Default A word about Father Time - appropriate

For once I have the opportunity to pass on something appropriate - though it will in no way balance the scales against my other posts and even worse was found in my inbox:

Father Time is not always a hard parent, and, though he tarries
for none of his children, often lays his hand lightly upon those who
have used him well; making them old men and women inexorably
enough, but leaving their hearts and spirits young and in full vigour.

With such people the grey head is but the impression of the
old fellow’s hand in giving them his blessing, and every wrinkle but
a notch in the quiet calendar of a well-spent life.
- Charles Dickens

Good stuff Bill. Thanks. Dickens is one of my favorite authors.

Sorry Steve, but I know how you hate rinsing coffee out of your keyboard.

That's ok...

I do appreciate you posting the NY song in my 2012 thread today.

I'm telling you here, because I'd like my thread to end with a Neil Young song (who wouldn't!).

Heard an age related oldie but goodie today:

"I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather. Not screaming and yelling like the passengers in his car."

well, I'm not the expert like many others, and since Old Man would be the obvious choice, I'll just pick another fave of mine off Fork in the Road

For some reason this reminds me of you:

WOW, seems like yesterday.....

And there was not ONE psychedelic ingested there

But WHO was the guy in the coat and tie with the tambo ? Talk about drawing attention to oneself by one's clothes.
