Nathan,

I'm curious what constitutes an active member. I assume it has something to do with actually posting, but inquiring minds want to know. There are 1200+ members but only 373 active members.

Thanks,
Brian Phillips

The 343 of us should go on strike for a week. Draw them out.

Could we be the individuals of the mind? Funny you bring that up, it has alot of relevance to some of our recent developments here on painttalk. Good call.

The answer to your question is yes.

Not to sound conceited, but I understood the relevance. That's why I brought it up.

I'm getting ready to read it again, for about the 6th time.

Brian

Obviously, I knew you already got it, but until you mentioned it, that analogy hadnt occurred to me. I read that on a series of flights to and from North Carolina in September. Your reference to it made me think of other situations where sometimes honest achievers are rejected or punished...I think I need to read it again now. Whole new meaning.

Nope...don't know
I don't have any "active member" counts on my screen except for "currently active members", which mean who's online and logged in at any given moment

I believe "guests" refers to unregistered lurkers

Which is not always up to the minute mind you...just because someone's name is down there and their "on" light is lit, they could have in fact been off for a while, possibly and hour or longer

It's a stat that the forum software keeps track of. It shows how many members have visited the site in the last 30 days. Not a great stat.
