There aren't many people who can say that and you aren't one of them. Your arrogance is obnoxious I've been back for less than a week and have yet to see anything constructive from you though to be fair I don't read every thread.

You should take some time to reflect on your attitude here and ask yourself if that's how you want to be perceived by your peers. Maybe TJ has rubbed you wrong but plenty of people here would miss him, can you say that about yourself?

I apologize, I had assumed you were an owner of a fresh coat franchise. And I don't recall ever being "warm and fuzzy" to you, or even noticing you here at all, until this, when I posted in a thread where someone asked about books for painting. You said this:

If this is how you contribute to a forum, then you and me aren't on the same page. I have been painting for over 20 years, and know I can always learn something from someone else, whether they're an old pro, or a newbie. I like to think I offer a little something here, but also enjoy picking up bits and pieces too. If you truly think this:

There really are no "favorite sons" on PT. I think what you may see with some is that they have been here for awhile and just about everybody knows when those who some may think have favored status are just joking around.

"Post count envy"? Still haven't figured this out myself. Some post more than others. Save the envy for those who have reached or surpassed the 10K post count. Better yet, offer them resources on pyschological treatment for their addiction. LOL This post count stuff rates right up there with the "thanks received to posts made" ratios.....not that big of a deal.

From what I read in the staff section, the threads that were deleted were done so because they were of a taunting nature. Here's an idea: Somebody gets under your skin, either put them on your ignore list, don't read their posts, or just don't respond to them. A very simple concept or two.

We, hopefully, are nearing the end of what we call "cabin fever" here. Unfortunately, it's usually at the end of it that nerves start to fray and tempers start to flare. It's only a forum, what you make of it is up to you.

Glad to be of assistance on this matter,

Wolf
Read it again folks. (First time I had to quote one of my own posts - kinda neat when I think about....no make that kinda sad.)

Man, i dont know wether to cry or throw up!

As a new member, I realize that I have yet to earn the respect of those on this forum and may not even be entitled to it, But im gonna comment anyway.

As someone who quickly met TJ in my first couple posts, I would like to say that sometimes hearing the truth and being challanged, although it may sting, is the best thing for ya. My experience has been that the guys whos busted my chops the most have been the ones that I have learned the most from and consequently came to respect.

Also, (and im not saying that "trolling" for your own entertainment is good for the health of this forum) but some of the past threads I have been reading have had me on the floor

Anyway, Its clear from this thread that you have earned the respect of this forum and I invite you to bust my chops everytime I ask a dumb question. And I promise you it will only make me a better painter.

I think TJ should be banned for starting this thread.

I think the issue of whether some members get special treatment is somewhat legitimate. What newcomers fail to realize is that while some of the long term members may be too hard on noobs and act like a$$es at times, they also have a history of many useful posts to their credit as well. Moderators will deal with them as needed also, they do not have a free pass.

It seems like we have a crop of recent newcomers that think they can skip the building a history of useful posts and jump straight to the acting like an a$$. Not the way it works in real life or on a forum. Build up trust and respect first before you start the goofing around. Much better approach.

See I didn't bust your chops. The key is to never let on about your question. Always act like your question is legit. Also, add a bit of humor in there if you can (that works for me, or I think it works...)
