Default First name basis

For some reason I like to call people on this forum by a real nick name, especially the folks who have been around for a bit.

It gives me a better feeling of camaraderie, respect, and friendship.

But I understand how some folks do not wish their names used or even known. Hell, there is at least one person who uses a total alias, even though it sounds like a real name. And I respect those wishes.

So I was wondering, if folks would like to post a preferred first name or favorite nick name(s). Or if you prefer your account user name used only, you could indicate that preference.

But I would suggest NOT to give a name you dislike intensely

Thanks

OH, I answer to many names:
Bill, Willie, Arch, Archy, and Scratch or even daArch if you prefer.

RH or Dan works for me. I have a buddy going back over thirty years who calls me "Danny" for some reason. Only ones who ever did that were my grandparents and parents, and then only when I was young. Oh well.

the internet is full of crazy bastards.

I like to call everyone by their screen name. If it's a long screen name, I'll abbreviate.

I've always done that. Even the guy from Australia that came and stayed with us, once he was back on the board, I went back to using his screen name.

I also like people to keep the same avatar, year after year. It helps me remember if I like them or not.
