What fields would you add to improve our member profiles and maybe make them more personal?

As an example, perhaps we should add a spot for paint specialties, niches, additional skills, etc?

I was also thinking maybe we could add a spot for people to include the URL to their paint related Facebook or Twitter page?

I would love your input on this.

How about increasing the number of allowable characters in the, "Interests", category? I can't speak for anyone else, but to me, the best part about the PPOTM program is reading the bios and getting to know a little something about the person. I respect the fact that there are PT members who'd rather keep things more private, but for those who are willing to share, I'll bet a lot of people would be interested.

I don't think I've really ' dug deep ' to see what i could do with my profile page

I increased the character limit and also added another profile field.

Yeah, we're not going to add a feeling status update.

I have a idear

How bout rewarding points for completed profiles.I never even touched my prof stuff and I know many members dont care either. If your goal is it to look more professional. Giving incentive to just complete the profile can accomplish that professional look, rather than a bunch of empty profiles. Jmo

nick-names?

I like it when I can call a person by their first names instead of their user names, it makes the communication more personal. (yes yes I know that for some, the username IS their favorite nick-name)

Perhaps folks here would like to divulge their favorite nick-name ?

(no no no, NOT what the spouse calls you in a fit of anger OR passion - which for me is the same )

Maybe not nicknames, but at least the users first name underneath the username would be nice.

I think the introductions can do a good job at getting a description of the person and background. After that, I think by a member posting on different topics, he/she will become known.

I don't really think a beefed up profile page will do any better.
