Why does the 'last edited" notice HAVE to stay after you correct a few spelling errors?...It's like giving notice to the forum that this azzhat made another mistake...Is it really necessary?

and this will make you MORE paranoid. The mods can see the original and all the edits you made.

If you edit fast enough, the message does not show up, but you need to be quick on the draw.

Yeah I'm usually in too much of a hurry and then notice the mistakes after I read it...Even then I often just skim over it depending on the length of the post..Hours later I see some errors and need to clean them up.

But come on,the "last edited" notice is not needed.

I love the edit feature mainly because I can read the edits.

Just be quicker with the edit and nobody will know. Also for the record I don't think this schmuck when I see an edit.

I didn't know that.

Thanks for not reading my edits and then thinking I'm a schmuck.

*heavy sigh*

I think maybe a "Sorry Steve" thread might be in order.

Unfortunately, starting one myself might be rude.

In the past, I have been know to start a "post your apologies to me here" thread or 2.

OK OK, "Sorry Steve"

Where the hell did you do that? Isn't that like putting a target and a "kick me sign" on your butt? Internet forums can be ruthless. Show any insecurities in public, and the buzzards will be circling. Believe me, I know from experience.

I did it on G.com, and the small spin-off board from there.

I have a flame proof jacket that I wear whilst on the computer.

BTW
I'll prolly be making a thread about sending me stuff eventually...so you can look forward to that.
Internet People have sent me some pretty nice stuff over the years. I've got a painting hanging on my office wall, a Beavis & BUtthead box-set, emergency radio, lots of CD's...

I used to keep: "This is a good time to ask yourself what you've done for Steve Richards lately" as my sig-line.

Tell me about it, woodland...

I'm racking my brain trying to remember what all "sensitive" material I may have edited since I've been here.

I feel like I've been standing in my underpants behind my curtain, while the mods have been looking in my back window,

That reminds me of my old days...back when I was a sewer worker...

We had this "snake"...(camera on a cable) we'd use to diagnose problems in the line.
One time I ran it up from down in the sewer, into a bathroom through the toilet, and was lookin' around.

Lady comes in and sees it, then grabs it and wouldn't let go.

I ended up having to go to her front door, and ask her for it back.
