Get ready painters, nathan is bringing the new forum to you guys next. There's a lot of issues and bugs with the new format. if you want to stop it, start b1tching over at DWT http://www.drywalltalk.com/f13/wtf-2899/

I'm not sure I will since I browse with my bb and Nathan doesn't care about us bb users.
So what's going down?

It looks to be but I'm not sure, are we all going under the umbrella of CT?

When is this going to go down at PT?

Nathan hasn't said anything in the staff section yet, but I suspect it will be soon. I personally like the "feel" of this layout, but will adapt to the new one. It hasn't stopped me from lurking over at CT.

What do you mean "it hasn't stopped you from lurking at ct"?

I mean the layout of the site. I still hit "new posts" and read the forum posts just like I do here. Almost the same experience for me. I'm not much into all the other bells and whistles that have been added on, so I just don't visit those pages.

Gabe, I looked it over on my BB and it navigated fine.

Paul, I asked him about that and he is doing the smaller forums first to be better prepared for the problems that will arise I am speculating on the latter.
Maybe a few months I would think it will vary but no doubt it will happen.

well he DID mention it when CT went to the new format.

I too like this version of VBulletin. From my understanding Nathan will NOT go with a new vBulletin but a different platform, like CT.

The NGPP went to the new vBulletin and we should have asked Nathan first. He knew it sucked.

I do have confidence that what is planned will be an UPGRADE and not an "enhancement" .

I inherently do not like change, but I'm old.

The biggist issue I found at CT is the new post function. Its in a drop down boxs which doesn't work on my bb. There is no "np" botton like at the bottom or top. He should have one somewhere out side the drop down boxs I would think.

And what I have read many others have complained about the "NP" function too.

Now I got where you are coming from. I primarily use my desktop for using PT, and with that being said, I will make the switch to the new format just fine.

Up until last summer I was using a BB Bold. Made the switch to iphone in part because of the PT app. I still miss my querty keyboard, but will survive just fine.

Agreed

If he changed that, I think people would find it more acceptable. But as it stands now, when you read to the bottom of the page, the view new post is gone. You either half to scroll to the top, and click forum then new post. Or click the back arrow on your web browser . But when you press the back button, every post looks marked as un-read. Now you half to remember which post you read. Not good when your getting older, that memory thing tends to go on ya,,,, eh'

Paul, what I meant by being under the umbrella of CT was the logo at DWT is Contractor Talk. So it appears its drywall talk within contractor talk. Maybe Nathan hasn't changed the logo.

The only thing this forum needs is ban everyone that starts a pricing thread.
