Default arborcoat clear coat on cedar

need help here, the customer just have a fence built with cedar

however, he wants to put arborcoat clear coat directly without any stain first because he does not want any color

i am not sure if it is possible, normally i stain with translucent and clear coat on top

if i clear coat it directly, is there any issue?

If your talking about the Arbour coat oil clear.. That stuff is fantastic. It does have a bit of an amber tone. It's a 1 coat product and looks great. Imo. Did a whole deck with it last year..

Arborcoat doesn't really come in a 'clear' other than the waterproofer which is a Thompson's water seal clone. Don't recommend it.

Which product are you looking at using?
@finishesbykevyn that arborcoat 326 is a very good product. Better than sikkens SRD and less expensive. limited colors though and not available in 5's. See my post where I used it here:

Ya, I think this is the stuff I used. Just a slight amber tone. TDS says 1 coat.. I liked it.

That's the 328, semi transparent. It's a tintable product. The 326 is like SRD.

Ok. Got ya. However I'm pretty sure I used the 328 but with no tint. Straight out of the can..
