i frequent other painters forums, and out of respect to this board, i wont mention them.

EVERYONE !

Stop walking the line. We've had the disrespect under control. we have been civil for a bit. It's drifting back. And John seams to be the lighting rod.

John has stated that he is trying a new approach. He has a way to go still. But everyone else really don't need to be inticed to respond.

SERIOUSLY, if you don't like the way someone is posting (not content, but method) PLEASE JUST IGNORE it. If it is grossly over the edge, REPORT it. which you all apparently know how to do

As our mothers used to say, it takes TWO to tango.

Walk away from engagement ! PLEASE !

Patch, sand prime two coats all walls and patch and sand ceiling for $1950.00. The HO will choose wall color this week and 2 coat walls and two coat ceiling will run another $1000.00.

The family room (identical in size and specs with out the mantle) in 2 weeks and a 10x10 dining room with different prep issues will each cost close to $1800.00 each.

I'm not painting double wide's.
Did that include the materials Nep?

Tim

Welcome back. Yes, John was particularly intrigued by this thread. I think we got about a 40% response from him on this topic.

My intention was to remind folks that it takes a balanced attack to build a long term business. Whenever the $200 room pops up, its important to clarify so that beginners dont turn it into a business model and further confuse the consumer. As you can see, its an explosive topic.

Soooo, the bottom line is, we have a problem with disrespecting fellow members? Here we have a guy who was a problem in the past and decided to change his name. This same guy with a new name continues to be a problem. Why are we the ones getting blamed for direspecting other members? Threads run nice and smooth until some comes along and screws things up. What am I missing?????

There was a thread recently reminding folks of the power of the google search to reveal to the world everything that we say here on the forums. Some people removed their website links and changed their names. Out of curiosity I did some googling that took me all the way back to the old paintspace.net days. Its funny, there are people who have histories of helpful and professional contributions on other boards over the years, but they can't participate in any meaningful way on this forum. The leadership team here certainly gives every benefit of the doubt before banning.

A problem person can change their name $200 times, doesn't matter, they will continue to be a problem. If you follow the history of a problem person you will find nothing but problems. I am for giving people the benefit of the doubt but C'mon. If there is a person who has 700 post and started zero threads and the majority of those post are causing problems, the benefit of the doubt runs out.
