I was thinking about painting our church gymnasium for free this winter. I think I will call these guys instead.

I also told my workers today that I am now going all subs now and will need to let them go

He should probably call a body shop. His van sucks. Unless rust is an en vogue tone right now. I dunno.

$45 - that barely covers the cost of a single gallon of paint now a days. What does he do, offer $8/gallon ceiling paint over everything? And then upcharge from there? Patch? And paint? How is it possible to make this even work? Have we witnessed the true bottom to this market?

This even beats Craigslist.

I was thinking about starting a "we will paint any room free" campaign. But, then someone would offer to pay customers to paint a room and we still would lose

At those prices you would figure the guy had an awesome website. He needs to put that on his van too

I can't imagine having the word sucks on the side of my van. I don't know why I didn't think about it before. Maybe the shock of the number on the side distracted me.

It could just be smoke and mirrors...Lot's of ways to inflate the price once you are in the door.

It's probably just one coat for $45 + Paint cost.

$45/coat?...walls only?

Obviously the paint is extra...

So that could be $45/hr if you can paint a room in an hour...I'm sure the prep is minimal too.

You saw this at Lowe's?

I can't believe you guys don't know about this. Obviously the guy is inside buying more Valspar paint bombs. For just $9.99, you get get a 1 gallon paint bomb in the color of your choice. Simply place the paint bomb in the center of the room, pull the green tab and exit the room immediately - closing the door tightly behind you.

Your painter sucks if he's charging $45 for a paint bomb that can be had for $10 at Lowe's.
