I have found that if you buy the premixed brightners with oxalic acid, it's a waste of money. I would get the powder and mix my own, way less money and works twice as good.I don't understand sealing the wood if they want them to turn gray. How would it turn gray if the wood was sealed?I would think the wood needs to form its own oxidation and with sealer on it how be?
We sell several clears, the wood still bleach's out with them.
A mild bleach solution is fine.....even Sikkens techs recommend using bleach, plus its printed all over their prep literature.
