Not always the old guy Im 29, and I can hold my own. Its taken time, a lot of practice, and plenty of mistakes. Most matches I can do while the customer waits, and never more than 1hr. I came up with a numbering system to keep track of my matches. After about 2 years I was over 4000.....I quit numbering them now because I was getting depressed

Simple as simple can be. If you want a 100% dead on match stick with the original paint brand , their own colorants, and their own tint bases.
Calculated matches are just that. They are not the real deal . Doesn't matter how long a person fiddle faddles with the formulas.

I think it would be quite difficult for another paint company to get even close to one of the Aura Affinity colors when BM waterborne gennex is proprietary and exclusively only to BM.

Get your paint match in a tester quart. Customer sees the color swatch on the wall and says that's great and signs off on it. Problem solved.

I've had matches that are closer to the chip than the original manufacturer with the proper formulas get.

It's all in the matchers hands
