Default Has anyone found a good online training course for new painters?

I’m thinking I will have to create my own and have already (barely) started but, has anyone found some sort of online course that is pretty good?

I think I know I will have to create it to be specific to my company but, maybe it can compliment my system.

Thanks in advance!!

There's an old saying, you learn by doing!!! No video will ever replace that.

I donít think that anybody has come up with a true online painting course. The only group that I think is doing anything close to that is Prep To Finish.

Basic literature, video and a written test would be a good start. Then on the site test for speed/ quality would follow.

Basic things like types of tape, caulking, masking, ect. Just so they aren’t useless for 6 mo.

This is one of a few reasons why I'm developing classes/training for my guys.

We're expanding and it's impossible to find one individual that knows as much as we do in a nutshell. They all have to be trained no matter if their veterans or not. Too many painters doing just 1 thing (interior or exterior) and not verse in a lot of the other aspects of the coating world.

What constitutes a 'good' "online training course" is up for interpretation.... worth a look:

Many of the videos today on Youtube are quite good. However, some are no better than the radio programs I learned to shoot pool from, back in the day.
