I was busting my hump in the heat of the Ohio summer and didn't pay much attention to lining up jobs like I should have so when the rains came I was in full "scramble mode" trying to get the fires burning on some interior work. Luckily I was able to do so. It has been strong and steady here in the hills of Appalachia. Thankfully, like @Wildbill7145, the phone calls, e-mails, and phone messages have slowed just enough for me to catch my breath. I'm truly looking forward to a slow winter, but, that won't happen. The economy is just that good right now.

On another note: This is the time of year when the Whackos come out of the woodwork, mostly people wanting gutters cleaned out, leaves blown off of roofs, etc. I do it as a courtesy to good customers, but others see you with a ladder and just assume you're the "leaf/gutter guy" and you're just beyond thrilled to be up on a wet, slippery roof cleaning up the leaves.

News Flash. I'm originally from Victoria BC. Where the weather is absolutely fantastic. So, since I moved to Newfoundland 8 years ago it's been more painful than you know. Thickens your skin though. You learn to do everything all over again. Like don't try to top up your wiper fluid in the wind. Or dare try to spray outside..

I was talking to a fellow painter in the parking lot at the local BM store. Both of us complaining about the weather. He said he was one more exterior to do that hs to be done. Not sure how he is going to get it done. Rain Tue and Wed.

It's been raining pretty much daily here for weeks. Nothing else other than rain in the forecast other that possible flurries. Going down to -4C tonight, so that means the season of bringing all the 'freezables' in at night. Just another PITA thing to deal with at the end of the day.

I finally finished my last exterior yesterday! The round trip commute was over an hour for 25 minutes of work (this included set up and clean up). I was watching the weather this morning. Since October 1st we have had only 13 days without rain...which translates into 24 days with rain! I could have easily finished up all of my exterior work in that time. But, at least I have worked lined up for the Spring. And, my phone is still ringing for intetior work.

I can't bloody believe it! Still nothing but rain and cold here. It is expected to keep raining every day but one, right through to the 20th! This is really starting to get me down. Its been going with this for weeks with 30 minutes of sun, now & then.

You must have bought the discount weather package this year. We're already at 8 inches this morning. Surprisingly (or not) still having people looking to do exterior projects.

Pretty much the same here. When it is not rain it is overcast, and has been really cold. I need to see some sunlight soon.
