Question Need to find Wattyl Solaguard Hybuild paint!

I am in St Louis and another painting contractor has quoted using this Wattyl product.

Wattyl is in Australia and was purchased last year by Valspar. Valspar reps tell me the product has never been in America.

I can't get the job unless I can prove that the other contractor is not being truthful or I need to find the product. The product only goes 90 to 100 sq feet per gallon.

Thanks for your help!

Call the company directly and find out for any retailers in your area. I only saw Australia retailers. One thing to consider is on the website it says it is made for Australia conditions and I think St. Louis MO. has a different climate.

Also if you can only get the job if you debunk the other front runner you might want to just move on to the next one.

You're suggesting passing up a job in St. Louis? That's like turning down one of Willie Wonka's golden tickets....it's just too rare and exciting an opportunity!

Good luck finding your paint

I am saying if you have to run around playing detective so you can discredit another contractor then yes I say pass.

I know times are tough but sell your qualities rather than the faults of others.
