Actually, I believe the artist had a much more advanced feel for color than a 3 year old. Must have been a 4 year old at least.

I have a saying that I like to tell customers when I am smearing out paint to dry and check colors. "if I knew I was going to make a living by finger painting, I would have paid more attention in kindergarten.".
