I didn't mean any disrespect to anyone. Feel free to delete my comments.

One last question: The ewing guy has a good amount of posts. Why wasn't he considered?

1. How do you know who was considered or not - got a crystal ball?

2. Just because someone has a zillions post, does that make them qualified to be a moderator?

3. Most importanly, what makes you think that every long time member EVEN wants the job of moderator?
4. Can people be ban for being stupid?

Welcome Damon T!

I will give my opinion on that. (for some reason, I like to try to talk sense to dumb people - go figure)? Answer: People move on with their lives and don't have the time anymore... It is honorable for a moderator to step down, when they realize that being a moderator is not what they want to do anymore and they no longer want the responsibility. Life changes and people change as well...

I am positive the Paint Talk gods gave a long hard thought into who they wanted to become a moderator. Some may have turned it down some may have been considered, some were definately not considered. All I know is I am glad we have such good moderators, myself I don't care who becomes a moderator some one with a quadbillion posts or two posts as long as they keep doing what they need to do to keep this sight clean and informative that's all that matters to me.

DK, if you are having second thoughts on your posts in this thread, you have the ability to edit them yourself.

The Moderator position has nothing to do with post count. It was felt that Damon could offer a fresh perspective in the Mod position. The Mods serve at the request of the Administrator. They continue to do so until they are either relieved or choose to step down. Tim and Bill have the longevity and offer a continuity to the position. And some, myself as an example, are just old and grumpy.

I didn't know there were actual people behind all this. I thought it was all computer generated.
