1/4 inch plywood as a sheild against foundation is a great tip too. It also works often between siding and roof . . . I've been spraying and backbrushing exteriors for near 10 years and it's the way to go if you know what you're doing. As I add more employees I'm getting a little nervous about it for this summer but I guess that's just part of the game Sometimes it's good to have your experienced spray guys wailing away with the sprayer up on the ladders while your green guys brush around all the small areas near the ground. We call them the ground-pounders.
