Default Trivialities of the job you most hate

There's always something right - clean up, lugging your sprayer up 4 flights of stairs, mistints etc.

But mine is shaking off and folding drop cloths. It riles me beyond belief and I don't know why.

Flapping around in the wind and then not folding properly. I legitimately hate them.

Meh.

And I spelled trivialities wrong in the title. That's it, am having rum.

I dislike coiling hose lines and cleaning out oil brushes.

Gave up on cleaning the oil brushes a long time ago - for the amount I use its easier to freezer them for the next day or just dump em.

Cleanup of other stuff doesn't bother me - get home and it's still part of the working day to go to the 5 gallon pail, spin and wash em out.

I think i just gave up on it too(yesss) i moved to state with awesome? EPA laws..no more oil products. FTW.

Getting paid and having the check bounce..im going to add that to the list. Ive had it happen twice..one guy was cool about it fixed it right away. The other one just gave me the run around for 4 months.

working on a interior repaint and not having a little 4x6 foot space to set up a shop, or not having a utility sink to use.

getting to jobs and finding the room that was supposed to be cleared just has everything piled in the centre giving you a whole 1 foot of space behind you - all the way around the room

being behind poly and telling the h/o to not let anyone past this point for the next hour or so, then breezing in because "anyone" does not refer to them ...................

will stop now

Going over a PDF with a green hand. Or arguing with a chief engineer that there is MORE than prep, prime and paint in a coatings system.

I too hate making up drop cloths by myself and insist that it is always done by 2.

PS Bacardi Superior!!!

I love my Drop sheets folded

My Son is now 10 years old and likes pocket money so my boy helps me at end of each job big or small and he helps me fold my Sheets i just throw them in the back of the ute and when I get home we fold my sheets together

He has been cheeky as most times when we fold sheets when folding them I like them pulled tight and would pull the sheet hard
And he cant hold on lol the other day he did the same trick to me and I was tired from a job he got me when I wasn't ready
And pulled me forward lol

10. Unfolding .5 mil plastic (I don't use it anymore)
9. Little drywall-mud bubbles in the skim coat
8. Disc sander catching between fascia and flashing (the higher up I am, the more I hate it)
7. Painting closets
6. Painting cabinet interiors
5. Getting paint on my elbows (happens most often during #7 and #6)
4. Using paint that smells like someones dirty feet
3. Carrying 1 five of paint (gives me a 3-day backache everytime. Now I buy singles. I don't care about saving money)
2. Dropping my paintbrush (inside, if I try to catch it, it'll land half-way across the room.. outside, it always lands in the dirt)
1. Tracking dog poop up my ladder, and getting on my hand on the way down
1. (tie) Having the feet of my extension ladder move while I'm on it

Spindles and Mullions (sorry bill, forgot the correct term - muntins??)

Basically anything that requires standing in the same spot for more than 3 minutes.
