The HO that takes the day off work to be there to supervise while you are working. Then when you are working in a bedroom so packed full of s--t you can barely walk around the perimeter, he comes in to watch and ask questions because he's got nothing better to do.

-and-

The HO that has several house cats that absolutely can't be let outside and instead of leaving them locked up in a room, he lets them to roam the house while you are trying to paint the exterior of the doors that must be open, while the cats are constantly waiting, ready to bolt.

-Finally-

-saving the worst for last-

Cleaning and painting the small area underneath and behind the toilet that is heavily stained yellow and or brown.

I hate getting paint on my boots. They're not cheap and they look really good, for about a week.

Just having your face that close to someone else's toilet. I always add an extra $50 for the displeasure of this area (I also clean the toilet first). Not Kidding.

I do a lot of the toilets...as I can use both hands equally and I have a long reach and a steady hand which allows me to do them faster and I don't have to listen to the crew whining .

My pet peeve...somebody's cat peeing on the drops if left around unattended .

Somebody having to cook a 3 course meal and having the heat and oven on wide open on a humid day .

Somebody wanting to use a left over can of latex and 5 years previously that is full of lumps .

Dumping a can of latex in the tray and having it turn into 3 colors just because somebody did not shake it enough...yeah I know ,...always stir first , but when you just come right from the store with it...

People who use furniture polish as a picture frame cleaner and then when you paint the paint all bubbles or spreads away from the spot around where the pic was . People who use furniture polish on varnished stairthreads and the painter with woolen socks ended up with sore balls all Summer because he started at the top of the steps and rode down on them until he hit the bottom floor very hard !!! Worse spill I have ever had and it happened so quickly...like being on ice !!! Drops on hardwood floors are also accidents waiting to happen .

That is enough for now...I am aching just thinking about that spill !!!

In my pre-job check list I give my customers I ask that the toilet area be cleaned prior to us beginning work in any bathroom. But since people's idea of "clean" vary dramatically, I always completely wrap the toilet in plastic before working around one. If we have to clean it there fee added for doing so.

I hate cleaning out any kind of sprayer - unless it's just a can.

Also hate cleaning out roller covers. I wonder, do some of you feel just tossing them is better...?

I hate cleaning up paint chips on residential exterior jobs. That is one benefit of the RRP. When we completely wrap the base of the home with plastic, it catches everything.

Especially if you just finished using it and hadn't flushed yet.

Was doing a bid not long ago and my favorite pen suddenly flipped out of my hand and did a doublegainer right into the open toilet. HO was standing right there - awkward.

Well if we can't rely on some of these new guys to come up with fresh topics* we'll just have to roll out the tried and true ones.

*Not sure such a thing exists.
