So the old guy doesn't have anything better to do. That doesn't make him a steller employee. Or does it?

63 here. Good worker. Brings all his own tools and a lunch. I am always telling him to slow the hell down and stay off the ladders. Had to laugh when he said his brush was 6 months old and could I put another on my account. LOL. My under 25 guys cant keep a brush a week and do deli everyday. Another thing I get a kick out of is the old school caulk gun he uses. I only use the new style anti drip ones. Not him he likes to do it manually. Bought him a new one and its still in package. He also refused to work with a 1200w work light but I got him a little rechargeable LED and he seems to like it.

Oh anyways he actually told me he needs about 10 hours a week to cover his expenses. He has his own side stuff but helps me out for the entire summer and when I need him. His normal work week would be around 30 hours.

It's my theory that those retired folks drawing a pension, do make the best employees afterall. They usually have nothing to lose by getting fired, but prefer showing off their work ethics to the younger slackers, knowing they get all kinds of pats on the back from the boss.

A real scam I tells ya!
