My old BM dealer in Calgary was the best dealer I've ever used.

The service was second to none, always comped me on new stuff to try out, brought in products specifically for me, that nobody else bought. Even when the "office assistant" for a certain franchise that I subbed for, would place a paint order ( I was always AGAINST this policy ) When they messed up the order, he'd eat the cost and give me the correct product.

I still call him from time to time for those odd product knowledge questions that only he seems to be able to answer

I'm in Calgary now...You must be talking about Mike....What's your "go-to" paint?..I notice that you use some General Paint from another thread...Ever use Cloverdale?..I'm thinking about trying the performance Super Acrylic(2)..I also might try the BEN from BM as well..But all the GD stores want $40/gal for BEN compared to the Moorestyle @ $35/gal..

My go to paint was Collections, many of my customers loved the ulti-matte option. Hides imperfections, scrubbable, touches up beautifully, and no need to match into most designers favourite colour palette.

I only recently started to use the Gennex products like Aura but they definitely had a few good uses.

I used to offer the collections as an upgrade, but I NEVER sold the cheaper stuff, so I dropped it altogether. The small upgrade was worth it to every customer except for the odd rental refresher.

I hate moorestyle, hate moorespec more!

BTW My exterior doors are ALWAYS Impervo! That stuff looks amazing and is just about bulletproof, just gotta put it on super thin with a foam roller of doing it by hand, which I usually did, flows out and covers amazingly ( oil base )

I use SW. The store manager has worked for SW since he was 17 he's in his mid 40's now, has turned down the oppurtunity to be a rep. But he comes out to jobs, delivers paint, and on and on.

Our other options are BM, its at a lumber shed, takes to long to get materials but did find out today that they are about to get setup with Aura. Or Pratt & Lambert at ACE and if the owner is not there I don't trust anyone else to tint my paint. So I go to the paint store for paint.
