Labor day. Anybody working? Any of your employees working? If so, what incentives do you provide?

I'm working. I get 2.5x pay. That's my incentive. Be safe and don't make the ER nurses work too hard. :)

Yeah I worked about 5 hours today. With all the rain this summer I'm out there any chance I can get. I'm restoring a small deck and building and staining a new handrail. It's only about 10 minutes from my home so I have the luxury of cutting and dry fitting the pieces then staining them at my place since it's still raining almost every afternoon. I'll post pics when done.

let's see, from 8:45 - 10:30 I drove the WW to her job (you know- taxi service because of the two flat tires), instead of waiting for her, I drove to Lowes and picked up some paste.

Home and had my second breakfast (eating like a Hobbit now). Swept pool.

Finalized an estimate and paid bills 'til about 2:00 (broke at noon for First Lunch)

had Second Lunch.

then for the next 3 hours worked on a few landscaping projects. Breaking for First and Second Snacks.

Nope - I didn't work today

btw whats a day off? :)
No idea. I technically have one but my boy starts pre preschool tomorrow (yes, 2x pre). Still not sure what it is. But he should learn some interesting words and behaviors from his peers so its all good...[/QUOTE]

Good luck with that. I just sent my (almost) 4 year old off to start his second week of pre pre K.
He whines to stay home every day, at least he quit crying when he gets dropped off.
They start them early these days..

It was my "Dayoff".

Got my boy ready for pre-preschool this morning, took him there, filled out paperwork, got some stuff together for a side job, went to the park after picking my boy up, did laundry, and went shooting for a bit. Got my boy fed, gave him a bath and got him to bed.

Day off...

I took the whole 3 day weekend off and just pulled an 18 hour day on Tuesday.
Have any of you fellow painters worked a forty hour week straight?
I did once totally sober well except I was on numerous Red Bulls!!!!
I was hard as hell to paint straight lines but that 8000 dollar check was nice 👍👍

Worked every day except Sunday, new contract with a gc. He gives me 2 house every ten days I have to do inside/out. ALong with my normal workload it has been tough. Plus he buys the paint and insisted I used Kilz pro x 101. My head still has lumps on it from beating it against the wall.

We will not paint another wall with that crap.

I feel blessed I guess, but need to get paid. Wait till you see the new content I'm putting up on the site :)

good day fellas and no rain today plz..

Tom
