Just curious how long of a season the rest of you get? (and dont even rub it in Aaron ) It varies here in the pacific northwest. I have managed to go as far as Thanksgiving during some years and other years it starts raining in September and doesnt stop. Almost halfway thru Sept with 5 or 6 still lined up and calls still coming in. Hoping for an indian summer around here
Yeah, the last two mornings here started out early with a light drizzle but then cleared off to perfect painting weather.
I remember two years ago I bid against a guy for an interior job in early March. Two weeks later I start the job and three houses down he has a crew doing an exterior on a cold, windy day. The day before it had been raining and the day after it was raining - hard. Hope the HO got a great warranty.
I've got exteriors til the end of Sept. where I try to cut it off.
I had an issue with a product last year having horrible surfactant leaching that actually left a permanent sheen difference in the finish so I had to scrub down all the siding and recoat it this summer! It seemed to be the late season painting that did it!
This job I'm using 2 degree paint anyways so it's all good
Year round except I try to avoid doing them in the summer if i can help it.
Have some easy exterior work going on this week, cinder block wall and a couple metal gates. Trying to beat the homeowner before he throws down grass seed and cranks up the sprinklers
I have one left. Its an HOA notice which means supposed to be done by end of Nov. We have had 2 snow storms in 2 weeks . Its a pattern. Im worried, but im sure we'll dry out.
Fuller O'Brien Weather King II is formulated to apply at temperatures as low as 35 degrees.
