I have a GC that works that way. We've talked and he's asked me if I'm part of the team. He said he's sick of subs that don't come through form him or just don't put out quality work. This guy pays on time, doesn't question the invoices I send him and is always tells me he's happy with my quality of work. Just this past Wednesday I was helping finish up a house so the HO could use it for Thanksgiving. We worked from 6 in the morning till 9:30 at night to get the house cleaned from dirt and all tools in the house. He ended up buying us all pizza and drinks for doing it. I don't understand that some subs who get the chance to work for this builder who dont care about there work they perform. This builder does ultra high end homes with work scheduled out for 3 years. Usually cost is not a major factor for them, it's the quality they get in return from us. The house were working at is on Lake Michigan and they've been working there for almost 3 years and still are doing work on it full time, by the time the house is finished it will probably be upwards of a 6 million dollar home!
