Default Another Newbeeeee

Well a little about myself. I'm recently retired Army and am trying to make a go of a Handyman business which includes painting. Basically I'm a jack of all trades and a master of nothing.

My main reason for coming to the site was to find the best way to store My brushes and rollers. Anyone made a box to hang brushes in.

Secondary reason is to find better and mainly faster ways to get the jobs done. I feel its taking to long to paint a basic room. I'm spending around 16 hours in room, for one coat of primer and two coats of paint plus trim. This includes the ceiling. Am I wrong here is this about right or am I just that slow.

Welcome here. 2 days is not bad for a complete room. Have been in some that take much longer than that! As for storing your brushes. I'm assuming you already put them back in their sleeves (please oh please oh please). I like a small brush bag. Nothing else in there to screw them up. HD sells them in their tool box section for a couple dollars.

As long as the sleeves last.

I'm thinking of rigging a bucket with hooks around the top to hang them from.

Never argue with a fool - they will drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

grunt huh.. how the heck you think your going to get anything done? Unless you have someone hired to tell you that you need authorization first, then wait around smoking cigarettes and drink coffee for a week... FINALLY having him give you the okay to go ahead but need to check to make sure each procedure is authorized as well.. Your get rich scheme is PERFECT! Your projects could take WEEK$$$!

I kid man, A REALLY good buddy is ex army and I always give him ****.. but he is the first to say army guys are lazy

Welcome aboard man!

Exactly why I'm trying to make it on my own. Don't want to have to deal with the politics of a work environment any more.

Dream,
First, thanks for your services

Second, if you go to a paint store you can buy a brush spinner and a brush comb. After I clean my brushes I spin ALL the water out of them and then comb the bristles nice and neat. Then they get tucked away in their keepers. They will last for years this way.
