Cool awesome site

Hi chaps, just discovered this awesome site. It's just what I have always needed. Access to knowledge I don,t have. Have been in trade for 30 years but formed Novodec ltd 11 years ago. Spraying is my main concern at present. In my country we are very much at infancy level when it comes to spraying. Hardly ever used. I bought a graco 695 and a hvlp 4900 about 9 years ago but have used them very little. At best have shot 200 gallon in 9 years . Mainly due to not knowing their capabilities. Hope this year to male the switch.. never gonna get rich with a roller and brush. You are the experts when it comes to spraying so hopefully ucan answer my questions and help me out.. look forward to being educated.

Welcome to Paint Talk. I've done a little bit of spraying in my career. Back when I was doing commercial work, depending on what we were doing I sometimes would spray up to 200-250 gallons a day. My record was just over 300 gallons. The 695 is a great unit. I still believe the real painter skill is being proficient with a brush and roller. Spraying isnt that hard. Its all about the right pressure and the proper sized tip for the job. And of course knowing how to mask and being productive at it. On the other hand......a guy can overspray a few cars on a job and totally lose his shirt. You can find plenty of great info here at this site.
