Default a bit of a.. re-introduction!

I originally signed up a few years back and made this thread:

https://www.painttalk.com/f3/hello-ok...-canada-52762/

back when I was first starting. haven't posted much since but have still read and absorbed lots of good information. thought i'd reintroduce and give an update on where I'm at!

--> My company is called Royalty Painting, I'm 27 turning 28.
--> I'm still in the Okanagan in British Columbia, Canada
--> in my third year of business, 7th ish as a painter?
--> lots of job pictures on my website here: https://www.royaltypaintingbc.com/

social media stuff:
https://www.instagram.com/royaltypaintingokanagan/
https://www.facebook.com/royaltypaintingBC

--> going over my first intro a while back, i've moved on from sherwin-williams. there was one good employee there but they have since moved so that's it for me. i use a lot of benjamin moore and cloverdale paint depending on the job.
--> currently import corona brushes in from the states. love me some vegas and excaliburs, also use the proform picassos. got three sprayers - a titan 440, titan 640, and a graco 9.5. they all get used plenty! my 6x10 cargo trailer is packed with tools now. said bye bye to most of the purdy stuff pretty quickly after buying it.

business has been great! I've recently bought a new work truck, have been making enough profit to live comfy cozy, gonna be buying my first home soon got lots of repeat customers, doing a good 50-50 split of new construction residential/repaints.

did a lot of facebook giveaway contests for things like free front door painting, free small room painting, etc early on to get some good local interest. from there, because i'm from a small town and have a pretty good reputation here, things just kinda blew up and i've been full time and solid for 2+ years straight.

I was partnered up with a guy for the first year and it was really tough to make enough profit to sustain us both as I was booking 90% of the work for two people but also doing 75% of the labor despite splitting 50% of the "company. Decided to break it to him that we need to go our separate ways, bought his share of the tools (probably for more than I should have but it was worth it to get it over with) and it's been great! working solo has actually been a lot less stressful.

currently working on a 4400sqft repaint on a lake here in the okanagan. job called for all the walls, trim, baseboards, doors, and every single cabinet/office desk/vanity/railing/stair cap/etcetc to be painted cloud white. regal on the walls, advance on the rest. 4 days into the 4 week time limit i have to get it done, everything smooth so far. just bought a set of erectaracks and have been putting them to good use. about 150 cabinet doors/drawer faces/shelves that need to be done on this one!

anyway, cheers everyone!
